Do we see light differently? Facet your hair with iridescence Rose in the morning My teeth are thoroughly deskinned You're drawing lines instead of drawing a picture You're drawing lines instead of drawing a picture This is just what we're doing right now This is just what we're doing right now I'm not your learning experience but you're mine I'm not your learning experience but you're mine I'm not your learning experience but you're mine I'm not your learning experience but you're mine Going to war is a wave of the ocean

A magnesium fire, A purple strontium flame, A green copper cage of ribs Ahh The tops of cold-water flats Where he flows among rubies 6 months ago 6 months ago 6 months ago 1 year ago 6 months ago 6 months ago 6 months ago 1 year ago 6 months ago 6 months ago 6 months ago 1 year ago 11 out of 10 on the goofy grin scale Fall into a vortex with me, We'll spiral down in unison and joy We'll shout into the void at each other, With minimal response; it works for both of us In that state, I become graceful with my eyes When I tell you, I feel like I've painted all my edges in gold Every lattice is coated in danger

Orange segments for teeth Orange segments for teeth Shave the shadow off your ear Shave the shadow off your ear Like a deck of cards dashed on the rocks Deck of cards dashed on the rocks White clouds glowing on black sky White clouds glowing on black sky Orange segments for teeth Shave the shadow off your ear Like a deck of cards dashed on the rocks White clouds glowing on black sky Swimming and dancing nude through many pools Artists like flamingos, turning their heads back and forth so rapidly The devil explodes into red biting ants and crystallized honey Evening light hits at 3pm Evening light hits at 3pm Artists like flamingos, turning their heads back and forth rapidly The devil exploding into red biting ants and crystallized honey Evening light hits at 3pm Evening light hits at 3pm

Some blinking tower in the distance Some blinking tower off wide Some blinking tower in the distance Some blinking tower off wide I've left so much everywhere I'm paring, I'm light Come get me, I'm the king of the hill, I'm the king of the hill Shitting myself on the top of the world, cause I'm the king of the hill I'm too pure-hearted for the boredom chic peeps and the too cool for schoolers I'm the king of the hill, come get me I'm the king of the hill I'm borderless unbroken eye contact In your chorus, I'm the la la la Roll the hills by bullet train Loneliness is on the brain That's my soaked sneakers At the space heater, baby Dry my socks with Cans of hot coffee, maybe Next time you see me Don't be surprised if I've eaten lately You know where I'll be I write my manifesto walking Come get me, I'm the king of the hill, I'm the king of the hill Shitting myself on the top of the world, cause I'm the king of the hill I'm the king of the hill I'm the king of the hill

Playing a game, dancing big with elbows Playing a game, dancing big with elbows Playing a game, dancing big with elbows Playing a game, dancing big with elbows Playing a game, dancing big with elbows Playing a game, keeping boys from their sleep You hated cold water, but with surprises like buckets perched on top of doors, I've learned to thrive in it I've learned to thrive in it, ahh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh

hypnagogia 04:49
An ocean of woven black silk, immersed, and mired in warmth I rose to the top, to chandeliered structures buoyant on fabric Swimming along, each crystalline structure chimed and twinkled Breaking of the glass met with calmer seas, brighter sunlight A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming A planet large looming in the distance Do you? Do you? Do you? Ooo A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming in the distance A planet large looming A planet large looming in the distance Ahh

Ahh My whole life is in a small radius Fluorescent tide crashing waves Place transformed from knives to expanse Couldn't you walk forever? Couldn't you walk forever with me? Couldn't you walk forever? Couldn't you walk forever with me? Vestiges of twilight peek above the clouds Reflect off water that could be a lake Headlights shine from below the ridge Couldn't you walk forever? Couldn't you walk forever with me? Couldn't you walk forever? Couldn't you walk forever with me? Infinite footsteps in the endless night The sky is vast and I am alone, with my fear of footsteps

Ahh It may not be this window, but it will be some window Maybe my innards will feel like fall leaves Like stalks of wheat caught by the wind Like sunlight bottled Ahh Like many thin strands of golden silk in a ball The sound of a bike tire, sliding through silt The deep satisfaction of experiencing this together Like sunlight bottled Ahh Waking yourself up laughing in your sleep (waking yourself up laughing in your sleep) Waking yourself up laughing in your sleep (waking yourself up laughing in your sleep) Every 3 years, it's 2015 (every 3 years, it's 2015) Every 3 years, it's 2015 (every 3 years, it's 2015)

You created fragments - you made me into words My acorn ovaries will remain I will try to be content with quiet vibrations And I will forever relish being a starfish You created fragments - you made me into words My acorn ovaries will remain I will try to be content with quiet vibrations And I will forever relish being a starfish Ahh Ahh Ahh Ahh Ahh, ahh Ahh, ahh Ahh

about

my second album. I think this one is different to the last one. I'd be lying if I said I was as happy with it as the first one, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be released. and maybe that's just fatigue from sitting on it so long!

written between summer 2018 and fall 2019, this album came to be during a time of stability, peace, and a diffracted focus as I balanced a new and wonderful relationship, the beginning of grad school and an academic career, and my continued interest in music and the arts. while I have my thoughts on how this played out in the unfolding of this album, I will leave it to you to decide what you think of it. having let it rest for months now and having discussed it with several people, I'm concluding, for myself, that it represents an important stepping point on my path of learning to write the music I want to make. I feel more focused in terms of making the next one now.

I hope you like it, or at least find it interesting.

2020 has been a million years long already, and it's only july. thanks for sticking around during these wild times. take care of yourself.
